Hundreds of people are reporting that it takes 20 years to connect to a multiplayer server or to load the world, and then when you get there the experiance is a long way from good. Unfortunately i have not downloaded the game yet as i cant play it on my laptop, it is underpowered. I will need my dual core system for that.

And in regards to their not being any editing capabilties.. that will be a huge failure. That means no maps, mods, skins etc etc. So we will be stuck with the laggy default stuff, like we started out with in avp2 before all the pros came along and made it a better place. So lets hope they release some sources and make the needed editing software, otherwise supporting dedicated servers will be probably less effective than we presently hoped for.

Still i've just pre-orderd mine for PC woo hoo !

Well I tried to give it a chance. I uninstalled and reinstalled it twice, and even downgraded from directx 11 to directx 9, and all I ever got was a frame a second (me purely guesstimating.)
The menu mouse ran really slow, and the game itself ran but so slow it wouldn't be playable by anyone.

I have a decent videocard, good amount of ram, I just don't see what's wrong.

Besides, it being made by Sega, I probably would have seen Sonic with a smartgun.

im not to crazy about the editer...i want to say you guys exspect a little to much... yea i havent played the demo but some thing sound stupid... you cant crouch as human? pretty stupid...but the alien thing.. you cant claw while walking?, well if you notice there going after the movie not the past games were playing.. the aliens in the movies never claw when using thier legs and arms...plus dont you think crawling upside down or on a wall crawling and trying to slash out at your food?

the games going to be more like the movies....you act like aliens in the movies..not the past..hundred knock offs.....although osme were quite good(avp2)


although i dont know what its like, and i said..its avp3.. i know "NOW' its not.... and there not basing it off the things form past games.. there getting all this form the movies......are you sure you can crouch? like maybe your just not pressing somthing right? errr lol


but i just wanna say that...you guys exspected too much.. besides the "bugs"
and also i kinda exspect the long time probaly from the demo needing somthuing more..(dont cry to me that your computer is jacked up with lots of memory and rom... i dont care your computer uses lots of space just for storage.. not to mention you running the game and the addtional things you may have installed..)

err..maybe you whont be too angry but can people list the weapons so far in the demo...? and what you can do in it.. other than yelling how fail it is?..i think people who keep on being tards and $#@$ING this game is fail..exspect crap like this! its a demo and of course it oging to bug up.. its new.. it not been tested public so stop whineing and start telling us what this demo..isl ike....not all the little problems you experience....babys..lol sprry but ENOUGH!

You do pose a very valid point, and I respect you for it.

Besides, for all those who hate it and were like me and only wanting a remake of AVP 2, if they give an SDK (iffy if they will or not at the moment) we can make an AVP 2: Rebirth or something.

AvP2 and this can't be more different, no SDK can change that.

Where can we download the fix for the steam engine? Many of my members are reported unplayable conditions, similar to those mentioned in this post.

If you are talking about the Steam matchmaking fix for avp, it's downloaded automatically when you launch Steam.

Ya i think thats it, i have never used steam so i was unsure of how it worked. Thanks for that.

SUCKS , only thing i can say.

- connecting to multiplayer game can take anythign from lightning fast 30 seconds to half an hour (that was actually the 1st time how i managed to connect to anything, i Alt_Tabbed and forgot that its still searching). There will be dedicated server though in retail release , so this is not an issue.

- its nice , yeah maybe but nothing jaw dropping. Looks more like any decent game which appeared during last few years : the 1st Bioshock, Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay, Prey. Nothing exceptional here, just nice enough for you not to say its crap. BUT i find the overall visibility sh!t like hell. It lacks the surgical clarity of AvP2 maps. And even AvP Gold in spite of totally dark maps and sometimes the need to play the whole time with night-vision offered this distincitve clarity of objects and decision making was very easy.
The picture is grainy, blurred , unclear, i don't wanna play another Gears of War.

- the gameplay. Holy Jebuz on the lollistick this sucks some mouthfulls. The whole beauty of multiplayer dance in AvP2 just went down the drain here.
Marine is slow , sluggish , and can run a few seconds, after that he is short of breath. Absolutely uninspiring play with human. No crouch - now everybody is standing and shooting at another guy's head.
Alien can run insanely fast through the whole map . but cant attack on the run. Obligatory wallwalk WTF? Obligatory glue to anything whenever you want it or not. The only thing one can decide is the exact time of falling of the surface. Feels like the mechanics of AvP2 .... backwards! And of course no pounce. Not that i didn't see this coming though.
The play with predator is as hilarious as in AvP2.

- this only multiplayer map was designed lke the modern map should be. Open, with many acces points, felt like a swiss cheese. There will be a survivor mode called "infection". See the DM map i fear the worst. With no defend nodes available the whole charm of survivor will be gone and will turn into just another TDM game with a small twist. If this will be the case, i will erase it from the HDD with no regrets.

- the GuI is the console crap again. And people will be telling me not to blame the consoles... "please dont turn the computer off while saving" ??? WTF. Since when the PC user would do such a thing unless a broken toaster in the kitchen will burn the fuses?


These are my impressions of AvP3 demo . Sad isn't it.
